From the preservation of bees through its methods of ecological production to the offering of healthy and quality products on Internet and stores, Famille Mary carefully studies its every steps to respect the environment and clients.

A sustainable consumption

 

With its healthy product range, a wide selection of organic products and honey selling from the tank, Famille Mary offers the experience of a sustainable consumption !

Honeys sold from the tank: 

In each of its stores, Famille Mary provides honey sold in bulk. Thus, making possible for every honey lovers to bring its own jar or to buy one on the spot, and to fill it at the desired quantity. By choosing this type of honey selling,customers contribute to reducing waste!

Find all the honeys sold in tank available in every stores and make the link through the stores’ page. Famille Mary is the only brand to offer honey sold in bulk on the national territory. Each month, the shops offer an exclusive selection of 2 or 3 honeys sold in bulk with nectars from the region. The Guerande Honey in La Baule, the Sauternes & Honey in Bordeaux, the acacia Honey from the South-West in Toulouse… For each address its local delight!

 

Treasures resulting from organic farming

In order to satisfy a clientele involved in a consumption from organic farming, Famille Mary offers a collection of organic honeys.

 

An organic honey range:

Harvested according to beekeeping practices which meet strict specifications of organic certifications, they are subjected to several controls (honey origin, pollen gathering area, hives’ maintenance and materials, bee care, harvests, honey extractions and packaging…).

A certified and ecologic production

Famille Mary requirement applies on measures of product quality and traceability as well as on ecological production methods.

 

Food traceability and quality control for our honey:		Production methods studied to reduce the environmental footprint:
Since 2005,Famille Mary has its own quality control laboratory of honeys, with high tech equipment: Cold extracted honey Determination of honey type by analysis under microscope of the pollen contained in the offered honeys Sensorial analysis : color, texture, flavour. Study of honey freshness and purity. Control of the honey's quality by complex analysis : HMF, PH. Inspection of the lack of contaminants : antibiotics and pesticides. Complete traceability with the region of production of our beekeepers guaranteed.		Eco-designed production site, without polluting waste. Packaging unit certified by Ecocert since 2005. An agreement for recyclable cardboard with a reintegration company. Thanks to bee, the company takes part in the balance of the eco-systemLieu de production d’éco-conception, sans rejets polluants.

  

 

The commitment for environmental protection

 

 

A commitment for the bees' protection and a support for the beekeeping sector:

Since September 2014, Famille Mary has launched a supporting action by donating 1% of its honey sales to the French Union of Beekeepers, (24 000 beekeepers), that is to say 1 honey jar bought = 1% for bees !

The company has already donated more than 75 000€ to the French Union of Beekeepers (UNAF) thanks to the success of the first editions resulting from this operation.
